MUA- Makeup Academy

The MUA lip booms are a big hype at the minute so i thought i'd grab a few when i next went shopping, and here they are!

They claim to have 'four looks in one' either use the lipstick on it's own, use the lipgloss on it's own, use them both together or apply the lipstick then dap the lipgloss on the centre of the lip to create a 'plumped effect'. I think there are 8 different shades but i just bought the 3 shades i would wear the most. The packaging is basic however i'm not a fan of lipstick at one end and lipgloss on the other style
of packaging, but it's pretty usefull when you're on the go! They are scented slightly but it's not an over powering smell and the lipsticks are matte! Reatial at £3.00!

I bought the colours (from left to right)

OMG which is a coral colour, the consistancy is matte and is not drying which i was suprised about. The lipgloss is a coral colour which is quite clear with bits of shimmer in it.

CHEEKY which is a light pink sort of a barbie pink. The consistancy is matte, again it is not drying. The lipgloss is a sheer pink with shimmer init. It's abit more pigmented than the coral colour.

OK.COM is a light nude flesh tone colour. The consistancy is matte, i think this lipstick is a little more drying than the other two. The lipgloss is the same as OMG.

Here is a picture of the lipsticks and their swatches. They are really pigmented and quite moisturising to say they're matte! My favourite is OK.COM because i am a huge nude fan, but they are all great regarding the price.    

Overall- I think these are a must buy because they are affordable, compact and they have a great range of colours! They wear off like any other lipstick but easy to apply. The lipgloss gives off a 'wet look' rather than a sticky gloopy gloss. I give these products a 9/10 :)

Sleek is a very affordable make-up brand sold in Superdrug. You can also purchase their products at www.sleekmakeup.com Their products are brillaint as they have a lot of products aimed for those with darker skine complexions. They are well known for their colourful eyeshadow palettes.

Sleek Pout Polish

Sleek Pout Polish - Pink Cadillac. When i first got this i could'nt get on with it but after using it quite a while i got used to it. You can wear it as a tinted lip balm or you can apply with a lip brush and build the colour up to be a really moisturising lip colour. Has a smell of vanilla, pretty long lasting. The colour wears off as normal but always easy to apply. If you have small lips like me, i would reccomend that you apply with your little finger or a brush, it can look a little messy as the colour is quite pigmented for a lip balm :) i rate this product a 7/10 :)









Sleek True Colour Lipstick

Summary~

This colour is called BABY DOLL. It is a matte baby pink colour. The consistancy is quite creamy for a matte lipstick. Has average stain power. It does'nt have any blue tones going through the lipstick so it will suit more skin tones. They have quite a few different shades to try!

What's Good?~
Everybody loves a good matte lipstick and this line are mainly matte! But the plus side is that they're really creamy. They're a really good cheap lipstick to have in your collection! Reatil at £4.00.

What's Bad?~
I have'nt had any problems with this lipstick yet.

BarryM Lip paints.

Barry M lip paints are one of my favourite lipsticks from the drugstore category. They come with many different colours and are pretty affordable. They retail ar £4.49 depending on where you buy them. If you're not from the UK you might be familliar with 101 marshmellow and 100 Baby Pink. I reccomend these lip products but some can be pretty drying. I have uploaded the ones i own and what i think about them. Happy shopping :) www.barrym.com

BarryM Lip Paint in 101 Marshmellow. This is the most raved about BarryM product. It's a brilliant lipstick to mix with darker lip colours to lighten them. I would NOT reccomend this lipstick to those with a dark complexion unless you're using it to mix. Those with pale complexions can wear this on its own. The bad part about this lipstick is that it's very drying. When i wore it it made my lips really chapped looking and flakey. I would reccomend a moisturiser underneath. I would give this product a 8/10 :)

BarryM Lip Paint - 117 Orange. This is a really bizzare lipstick but its one of the true orange lipsticks i have found. It's quite creamy but can become drying. It's great for fun make-up designs, photographic make-up or even on a day to day basis. I worse this on a night out mixed with a pink to make a coral colour. It's great for a mixer. Would look beautiful on those with a darker complexion. I rate this a 8/10 for colour, intensity and long lasting :)

BarryM Lip Paint - 107 Pink Glitter. Another out there lipstick. To get the full sparkle and glitter from this lipstick you need to apply more than a few times to get a thick layer, but the glitter in the lipstick can feel heavy and bitty. Looks nice on for pictures and nights out but whether you can handle the feeling is up to you. The colour does fade after a short period of time and will leave just the glitter which doesnt look to pleasant. The choice is yours. I rate this product a 5/10 :)

BarryM Lip Paint - 37 Black. Just your average black lipstick. It's very moisturising for a black lipstick and quite glossy. I liked this product very much as it didnt even fade too much. I wore this to a fancy dress party i re-applied a few times to add the intensity back and because i loved the glossyness. Highly reccomend this black lipstick. 9/10 :)

BarryM Lip Paint - 121 Pillarbox Red. A true 1950s iconic red lipstick. Brilliant colour pay off, can become quite drying. Stain power is good but i would reccomend to apply a lip liner all over the lips to make the colour last. Over all a perfect colour, great colour pay off and creamy. I rate this a 9/10 :)

BarryM Lip Paint - 113 Sheer Pink. This lipstick does what it says on the tin, it's really sheer with pink running through it. It is not drying but you do need to re-apply because the stain power is'nt great. It's not a problem to re-apply as its sheer and you can do it without a mirror also redydrates the lips. Pretty for the those with paler skin tones. I rate this product a 7/10

BarryM Lip Paint - 100 Baby Pink. One of the other most popular products by BarryM. A creamy pale pink with blue undertone which is assosiated with barbie. It can become drying so you need to re-apply to get the moisture back into your lips. I would'nt suggest those with darker skin tones to purchase this unless you are mixing or daring ;) however those with paler skin tones can wear this lip colour without or without mixing it.I would say you should have this in your make-up collection but remember to moisturise your lips before hand. I rate this a 8/10 for beautiful colour and stain power :)

BarryM Lip Paint - 129 Palest Lavender. Extremley moisturising lipstick. To get a full burst of the colour you need to put more than a few layers on. This colour suits medium skin tones. This lipstick is'nt essential to have in your make-up collection but it's something you might want to try. I rate this product a 8/10 for great moisture and buildable colour :)
